Early this morning we got the news that actress Katrina Kaif was being honored with the prestigious ”SMITA PATIL MEMORIAL AWARD”at a glittering Global Awards ceremony which will be held in Mumbai on 19th of September.
Niranjan Hiranandani, the Chairman of Priyadarshini Academy, the NGO conducting these awards, spoke to a popular media daily and said:
”The academy has been giving this distinguished award ever since it was established, and this year, the jury has unanimously nominated Katrina for the Smita Patil Memorial Award for her work in films.”
According to a leading daily, Katrina is not only a popular and successful Bollywood actor but she is also considered as one of India’s most attractive celebrity.
MR NANIK RUPANI (Founder Chairman) says that ‘This award goes to her as a recognition to an outstanding individual who has shown excellence in her field.”
